A focused, compassionate process integrating somatic work, parts work, EMDR, and Brainspotting to understand what keeps you stuck and create meaningful change.
Change begins by recognizing the patterns, emotional responses, and experiences shaping your life today.
Therapy then brings insight together with body-based and trauma-focused work, so healing is not only understood—it is felt and integrated.
Explore recurring reactions, relationships, and protective patterns with curiosity and clarity.
Use somatic work and Brainspotting to notice what the body holds and support deeper processing.
Draw on EMDR and parts work to process difficult experiences, strengthen inner connection, and move toward your goals.

About
Yehoshua Saks, LCSW, offers practical parenting guidance and focused individual therapy.

A personal, focused approach
After years of working with children and parents, I saw how much parents can carry the work forward at home.
My courses help parents build safety and attachment, recognize needs, understand behavior, and respond with practical tools.
I also support adults through EMDR and Brainspotting, working toward meaningful goals and processing what may be holding them back.
Each therapy plan is tailored to the individual, with clear goals and focused support.

Reflections from parents who took part in Yehoshua’s classes and applied the tools at home.
“It’s two classes in, I already gained more than I have gained out of my weekly parenting sessions, one on one, with someone else.”— S.P.
“We had a real breakthrough with Dovid today. We were able to work through something with the tools you’ve given us. It felt like a totally different dynamic—so much calmer and more connected. I really appreciate the guidance and clarity you’ve brought to our family!”— M.B.
“Every lesson felt personal, like you were speaking directly to my journey as a parent. Your honesty, vulnerability, and realness made it so easy to open up and connect. I’ve already seen shifts in how I respond to my kids and in how they respond to me.”— S.M.
“My son came to me after we lit Shabbos candles and asked me if he could have more learning time with me. It’s amazing to see how much more attached he is becoming. I can’t wait for the next class!”— M.B.
“You were the perfect shaliach to give over the message that Hashem put on my heart to give my children. Thank you for making such an impact, for teaching us so clearly and for giving us the tools to implement real change.”— D.M.

A structured approach for processing difficult experiences and moving toward meaningful goals.
Your one-on-one plan is tailored to your goals, with compassionate, focused support.
EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing — was developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro as a structured, eight-phase approach to healing. It’s built on a simple idea: your brain already knows how to heal. But sometimes a difficult experience gets “stuck,” and the memory stays active in the nervous system as if it’s still happening.
Through gentle bilateral stimulation — often guided eye movements — EMDR helps restart your brain’s natural processing system, so the memory can finally settle into the past. You don’t have to relive everything in detail or talk through every moment. We move at your pace, and you stay in control throughout.
Recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective treatment for post-traumatic stress — and used for anxiety, grief, painful memories, and patterns that keep repeating.
Individual therapy
Focused one-on-one therapy with certified Brainspotting therapist Yehoshua Saks, LCSW.
Brainspotting sessions are tailored to your goals, supporting healing, growth, and greater clarity.
Brainspotting starts from a simple observation: where you look affects how you feel. Certain eye positions — “brainspots” — are connected to stored emotion deep in the brain, underneath conscious thought. By finding the brainspot linked to what you’re working on, we can reach material that talking alone often can’t touch.
In a session, you rest your gaze on that spot with calm, focused awareness while your brain and body do the processing. There’s no need to analyze or explain everything — you can talk as much or as little as feels right, and you don’t have to retell your whole story to feel a shift. Brainspotting is also used to strengthen your natural resources — calm, confidence, resilience — so you leave with more than you came with.
Yehoshua is a certified Brainspotting therapist. Sessions are one-on-one, shaped around your goals, at a pace that feels safe.
Individual therapy
A body-first approach — because the body tells the story beneath the words.
Your one-on-one plan is tailored to your goals, with compassionate, focused support.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-first approach to healing. Difficult experiences don’t only live in your thoughts — they live in the body: in tension, posture, and breath, in the way you brace or shut down. The body tells the story beneath the words.
In a session, we slow down and notice what your body is doing right now, with mindful, curious attention. Together we build steady inner resources — calm, strength, groundedness — and gently release what got stuck, so your nervous system can learn to settle.
Yehoshua integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy into one-on-one therapy for adults — practical, compassionate work that moves at your pace.
Individual therapy
Meet your inner parts with compassion — so they can soften, trust, and start working together.
Your one-on-one plan is tailored to your goals, with compassionate, focused support.
We all carry different inner parts — the critic, the protector, the wounded younger self. Every part formed for a reason, and each one is trying to protect you in its own way — even the parts that cause trouble in your life now.
Parts work meets these parts with curiosity and compassion instead of resistance. When a part feels heard rather than fought, it can soften and relax. We learn what each part needs, build trust with it, and help the younger, wounded places finally receive what they missed.
Yehoshua weaves parts work into one-on-one therapy — a respectful, unhurried process that helps your whole inner system work together.
